The Start of Something Great

Well, if you are reading this, then that means I have successfully created and started my new blog! I've seen a few times the hardest part to starting a blog is picking the title, and I now know this to be completely true. Props to Joshua for helping me out.

Last year, I went on a medical mission trip to Guatemala with a bunch of classmates to provide basic medical care and share the love of Christ with the people in the surrounding areas. One of the moments close to my heart is getting down on my hands and knees to wash a child's feet and provide them with a new pair of shoes. This trip was life-changing for me and I have wanted to return ever since I left.

This year, I have the wonderful opportunity to travel to Guatemala again, and serve on the leadership team for the project! I created this blog to write about my experiences while I'm there and to have something permanent to look back on for myself. I also created this blog in the hopes that someone else might find my experiences entertaining and encouraging in their own life.

Project Guatemala 2014 holds a special place in my heart and I'm excited to share those experiences with others. Let the fundraising and planning begin!
